Raymond Chen's talk at the PDC
Five things every developer should know
When I was at Microsoft, I was lucky enough to meet Raymond Chen a few times. He is somewhat of a legend at Microsoft. He's probably been there for 20 some years, and now I think he gets to work on pretty much anything he wants. While I was there working on Accessibility, he was also interested in that topic, so we got to talk about that some. He recently gave a talk at the PDC, and Microsoft has been nice enough to provide those talks in streaming format. It is an hour and 13 minutes, but has some great stuff in it. He starts by discussing peformance, then gets into playing well with other programs, UI mistakes, accessibility, and synchronous/asynchronous user input.
